The Sacrament of Confession is first received by our 2nd grade students in preparation for the First Holy Communion.
Confession is a special gift of mercy offered by Our Lord in the Catholic Church. From Apostolic times, Christ Jesus bestowed His Godly power to forgive sins upon mortal men, beginning with the Apostles:
"Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained” (Jn 20:23).
His promise of the forgiveness of our sins extents to us today--and is offered now through Catholic priests who have received Christ's own power of forgiveness through the Apostolic Succession maintained in the Catholic Church alone!
All Catholics are encouraged to frequent the Sacrament often, but at minimum once per year as prescribed by Canon Law § 989. Parents are particularly encouraged to frequent the Sacrament both for their own spiritual good and as the positive example their children need to see.
The Confessionals are located in the rear of the Church. Please see the tab for Confession times or if needed, call one of our priests to make an appointment.
"The very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of Graces upon souls who approach the fount of My Mercy" (Our Lord to St. Faustina, Diary, 300)
